DescriptionA man standing with a black tricorn hat tucked under one arm. He is wearing a black and gilt-edged frock coat. The coat is open and he has his proper right hand thrust into the pocket of his iron-red breeches.

It has been suggested that this figure may represent the actor David Garrick as the character of Archer in George Farquhar's Beaux's Stratagem.
